This is the unofficial subreddit for Sega's long-running game series, Yakuza, known in Japan as Ryū ga Gotoku.
Yakuza 6
This is the unofficial subreddit for SEGA's action brawler: Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
Some of you may remember me from my 100% of the Yakuza series. I’m ready to continue with my copy of Yakuza 7 4 days early. So better ask Reddit what’s the best game you’ve got and early and how early was it?
Ok since I’m new to Reddit and only have a two yakuza games under my belt(kiwami zero). I was wondering what was everyone’s fav boss in the series I should be looking forward to???

Hi I'm CyricZ. I've written guides on GameFAQs for most games made by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios. AMA.
First of all, thanks to everyone for the generous outpouring of praise. I've seen so many of your posts and comments over the last year and I can't tell you how much those positive feelings mean to me.
Honestly up to this point I've been hesitant to post here. It's one of those weird things where people know you by reputation more than by direct engagement, and honestly it seemed a little scary to me to try to just step into a community that views you a certain way. Also it takes me a while to try new things like... Reddit in general. This is the most active on Reddit I've ever been.
That said, through all my years I've never seen a community more positive, welcoming, and supportive than the Yakuza fandom. It really speaks to this series' quality that the subject of Japanese crime is such a good focal point for a great fandom.
So to avoid awkward weirdness, I'm basically just... here now? I guess? I'm not trying to pretend to be a celebrity or anything. I'm just looking to participate. I figure it was either this or stealthily comment and finagle my way into conversations, and I think I'd rather be upfront in this case.
EDIT (2/9/2021) - Oh gosh this is amazing. Let me address some of the more common questions in this post:
Favorite game in the series: Yakuza 0
Least favorite game in the series: Yakuza 1 and by association, Yakuza Kiwami, although I insist that no Yakuza game falls lower than a 7/10.
Favorite protagonist: Akiyama, for his perfect combination of suave and slob.

[Japanese Entertainment] The unfortunate story of an actor's career being destroyed over false allegations- the story of Hiroki Narimiya
Before we get started, I need to explain a cultural divide between Japan and the West that forms the core of this story. In the west, drug laws are more lax and legalizsation policies for softer substances like marijuana after beginning to come into effect in several large countries. Inversely, Japan despises drug use and has some of
the harshest possession laws in the entire world. Being caught possessing something even as low-grade as cannabis can lead to a sentence of up to five years in jail. Officially, even many yakuza clans forbid drug trafficking (though they still control the drug market, especially regarding methamphetamines) as the consequences for drugs are simply too steep to be caught with it. In the entertainment industry in Japan, being caught with drugs leads to an instant exile, as networks, film companies, dubbing studios and more all close their doors on anyone caught engaging in drugs.
How strict are they you might ask? In 2019, Pierre Taki, known as part of the musical duo Denki Groove and the dub voice for Olaf in Frozen- was arrested for cocaine possession.
Home media versions of Frozen were immediately pulled from stores, while a character Taki played in the game
Judge Eyes (called Judgement in the West) had to be edited to remove his character and replace him with a different facial model and voice actor.
He was also replaced in Kingdom Hearts 3 in a patch that saw a new actor redub his lines in that game. Their industry does not mess around if you get caught doing drugs is what I'm trying to stress.
Today's story unfortunately follows one case where no drugs were involved, but an innocent man's career was destroyed out of what seems to be jealously and spite.
Who is Hiroki Narimiya?
Hiroki Narimiya (born Hiroshige Narimiya) was born in 1982. His parents divorced early in life and while he was in junior high school, his mother passed away. Narimiya quickly left school to support himself and his younger brother, taking on part-time jobs to cover said brother's schooling and college courses. After years of trying to break into acting, Narimiya managed to get a talent scout's eye and made his professional debut in 2000.
Within three years, Narimiya had begun the process of being a household name, cutting his teeth in the theatre industry before moving to film and later television with a
role in the drama
"Gokusen" based off a popular manga. 2003 would see him be part of a box-office hit in the period film
Azumi, where Narimiya got praise for his sword skills.
Alongside further roles in film, TV and theatre, Narimiya was also a deft model and fashion designer, with
his haircut becoming a popular hairstyle young Japanese boys emulated in the 2000s. Within half a decade, Narimiya had become a popular and beloved actor, with his rough childhood giving him a sympathetic edge that had fans rooting for him to be successful in life after the bad hand he'd been dealt early in life.
In the early 2010s, Narimiya would star in two productions that began to give him a name in the West- 2010's Yakuza 4 as corrupt cop with a heart of gold
(and professional suicide prevention expert) Masayoshi Tanimura, and in the 2012 film adaptation of the Ace Attorney series, where he played
leading man Phoenix Wright. Narimiya also got to play Phoenix in the crossover game between Ace Attorney and the Professor Layton series as his second game role. Tanimura especially became the most notable role overseas tied to Narimyra, though the character wouldn't reappear in any subsequent material.
He did have a really cool theme song though. As the 2010s continued, Narimiya continued to get steady work in dramas (
and this commerical for a Final Fantasy phone game), until December 2016 when everything took a turn for the worse.
December 2016: The frame-up
On December 2nd 2016, major Japanese tabloid
Friday released its new issue with a front page story implicated Narimiya in a cocaine scandal, with photographs showing him with alleged drug paraphernalia and a report of him snorting it off a table in his apartment. This was a heavy charge, as cocaine use would land Narimyra in prison and kill his career. Fans of the actor were quick to dispute the story, taking a closer look at the alleged paraphernalia and determining that instead, what Narimiya was sitting with in the photo...
was nothing more than candy typically eaten by younger children that involved stirring powder into a small glass of water. Fans of Narimiya breathed a sigh of relief at the news, some expressing
bemusement at his sweet tooth, while the actor put out a statement categorically denying
Friday's charges. Narimiya would proceed to take a drug test on the 7th that came back negative.
His agency mentioned in the statement that they would consider legal action. Despite this,
Friday stuck to their guns, now claiming on the 9th to
have audio of Narimiya asking for "chaarii"- a pseudonym for cocaine. Soon after the story broke,
Narimiya announced to news channels on December 9th that he was leaving the industry over the cocaine charges. Narimiya's agency said when requested that "We could not confirm the objective facts that support the drug use of the person," which indicated that this wasn't a case of Narimiya being forced to retire by his bosses. In the statement, Narimiya clarified that (translated poorly by Google):
"I am aware that everything arose because of me. I was betrayed by my friend who I trusted deeply and I fell into the trap laid by several people. While being an actor, there have been many things which I wouldn't want others to know or focus on including my sexuality. Seeing this situation of the wrong information being cirulated continuining, I feel as if I will be crushed by my anxiety and desperation. I can't stand the idea of having my privacy being exposed to the world by people's evil intentions. I want to disappear from the world of showbiz immediately. I can't cause any more worry and inconveniences to the people I work with by continuining to appear in public as an actor but there is no faster way than to quit from showbiz. I started off with nothing and I am very grateful to everyone who has made me become what I am today. To the fans who have supported me, I am very sorry for leaving you in this menner. I am really sorry. And thank you very much."
Narimiya kept to his word, as after 2016 he effectively vanished from Japanese entertainment, an unfitting end to his decade and a half of work.
The aftermath
It's universally accepted at this point that Narimiya was the victim of a frame job, a false allegation done deliberately to destroy his career.
Friday allegedly gloated following Narimiya's retirement only to be met with countless retorts from fans condemning them for running the story, alongside calls to boycott the magazine.
The accuser eventually made their own Twitter account which led to the idea that they were an ex-lover of Narimiya who shopped the story around to several outlets until
Friday snatched it up. Apparently they were looking for a million yen in exchange for the entire thing.
Rumors would begin to go around in the Japanese entertainment community following Narimiya's departure of who was the accuser who had leaked the photos to Friday and what their goal had been. One of the most common beliefs is that the accuser was in fact a bitter ex of Narimiya who sold off the photos following a bad breakup (Narimiya had long been suspected of being homosexual or bisexual,
with tweets from as far back as 2009 showing
fans claiming he had come out alongside
a since-deleted MTV Japan documentary apparently having him point blank come out).
Narimiya's retirement would impact some of his prior work, most notably Yakuza 4. In the remaster for the game released in 2019 in Japan and 2020 in the West,
Tanimura's face and voice were redone due to Narimiya having left the industry, with actor Toshiki Masuda providing the new performance.
Narimiya's case is still brought up to this day, partly thanks to his ties to the Yakuza franchise and newcomers playing the games for the first time following the series seeing a new boon in 2017 with Yakuza 0 and
wondering what happened to Tanimura's face in the remaster (alongside Tanimura just being his biggest role outside of Japan). The circumstances of his allegations are often brought up by Westerners as a large example for why Japan's drug laws can be too strict, as even the allegation of drug possession can be enough to completely ruin a career. Since his retirement,
Narimiya seems to have moved to Amsterdam per this post on
/japan, and he has a
n active Instagram account that says he's moved back into fashion design and modelling. While it seems Narimiya is happy now in his new life, it remains a great pity that his career was ended so abruptly over what appears to just be a jilted ex-lover who wanted to burn his career down out of jealousy or greed. At the very least, Narimiya has bounced back and found a new job that lets him employ some of his skills and he won't go homeless or destitute soon, but such a betrayal of trust likely left scars that will take years to heal, if they ever do.

How does GTA San Andreas have gang wars, car customization, darts, clothing, pool, dating, a storyline, casino's and so much more while this game has little to do besides killing gangs/stealing stuff in your downtime?
We seem to be going backwards in gaming, this game was supposed to be so much more dense. But after 40 hours of playing I have basically done all side missions and kind of feel like not starting it up again, I've practically seen all the content (except repeat missions or collectables).
I don't see how you fix this, there's so much content missing. I expected to be put in some kind of futuristic theme park with a heavy focus on doing fun, stupid, interactive stuff and meeting ridiculous individuals but there is just nothing like it.
So apart from the graphics:
GTA: San Andreas has more content than Cyberpunk. A 16 year old game has more to do.
How do you go from the current state of the game and turn it into what was heavily implied during marketing in a short time span? You don't.
Here's a big list of stuff that is missing, posted by
u/RalphDamiani. But I don't feel like how significantly little open world content is available is made thoroughly enough.
These are things I expected to be in the game (all of them advertised or heavily hinted at):
- Actual wanted system. Not this alpha testing filler we got.
- Immersive NPCs that don't randomly disappear or all synchronise and run away in the same direction.
-Cool mini games with NPC's you meet (Like in the Yakuza series, who have had this since 2008)
- Some kind of gang system where you either control business' or have to deal with rival gangs
- Meaningful back stories that impact the main story
- New lines that make your character sound like he actually is a corpo instead of a street kid/nomad at all the time
- Car customization
- New gear system with obvious transmog options
- New cybernetic system
- Body sculpt system
- Better animations (I stopped using mantis blade because the strong attack animation takes like 10 seconds to execute)
- Fix all the small sound bugs, like footsteps not registering or no dialogue at all
And then this glorious statement comes out; '' We'll fix the bugs, don't worry ".
The bugs are the least of your problems, they suck but I don't care. They'll get fixed.
How about the other 70% of the game, you know, actual stuff to do besides the ridiculously short main story which you can finish in 10 hours? Why do they only put out a statement regarding stability when content is another huge factor?
I have no idea how complex a game world is to develop but as a creative marketing guy I'm familiar with creative processes and translating design into working features. A lot ideas get cut out because of technical restraints and money issues. Clients always want more than what they're willing to pay for.
But how do you make all your money back from pre-orders, and then deliver a product like this? (With a good 5-6 years of development time)
You do that when you only care about making money and don't care about the artistic integrity of your studio.
The developers/studio guys that worked hard are not to blame, they are the artists. I love what they did, it looks great. Corporate is to blame, they already made back their investment with pre-orders but want more sales with Christmas. How incredibly ironic that a game exploring toxic capitalism is largely ruined by toxic capitalism. What a joke. TLDR: Great tech demo, love it. But come on bro, don't promise me a brand new lambo and deliver a beat up civic.

YAKUZA SERIES PLAY ORDER FOR NEWCOMERS - PS4/5 - XB1/SX/SX - PC
It's like Dunkey always says - "if you want something done right, you gotta do it all by yourself"
TLDR play order for the mainline series:
- Yakuza 0
- Yakuza Kiwami
- Yakuza Kiwami 2
- Yakuza 3
- Yakuza 4
- OPTIONAL - Yakuza: Dead Souls - NOT CANON TO THE MAIN SERIES STORY
- Yakuza 5
- Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
- OPTIONAL - JUDGEMENT - HAS REFERENCES TO THE MAIN SERIES BUT ISN'T INTEGRAL
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon
- OPTIONAL - Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise - PURELY SPINOFF TITLE USING GAMEPLAY FROM YAKUZA SERIES
Hey there kyodai, this is the New and Improved "I'm Tired of Seeing This Posted 300 Times a Day" Yakuza series play order post! We haven't had one of these stickied in a long time, and I doubt this one will be, but at least we will have something to link to! Please feel free to link to it as you see fit! This guide covers the titles on all available current/next gen platforms and PC. Yes I know Yakuza exists on PS2 and PS3, nobody cares anymore. This guide is also just in reference to the NA releases and doesn't go into the PSP titles or the JPN exclusives ISHIN and KENZAN. This is to help the influx of new Xbox and PC players. I will update this post as new releases on PS5 and the like become available!
PLEASE NOTE! All physical releases for the PS4 and XB1 will work on new gen PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles.
WHERE TO START WITH THE YAKUZA SERIES REGARDLESS of what console you play on, the games are meant to be played chronologically. There is the argument that the story is best played by release date and I will refute that statement until my dying breath. Because it doesn't make sense. Why would you play through the series, then go back to 0, a prequel, then BACK to 6, the end? That's dumb. In the same vein, if you want to experience the entire saga the way it's intended, DON'T SKIP GAMES. Just watching the cutscenes leaves sooo much to be desired.
YOU START THE SERIES FROM YAKUZA 0. 0 is available on all platforms and can be had the following ways:
- Digitally on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Digitally as part of the Yakuza Origins bundle on Playstation
- Digitally with GAMEPASS on Xbox and PC
- Physically as a standalone blue case release on PS4
- Physically as a standalone red case Greatest Hits release on PS4
NEXT IS YAKUZA KIWAMI Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of Yakuza on the PS2. It uses a very similar style to Yakuza 0 combat wise and is about half as long. Kiwami is available the following ways:
- Digitally as a standalone title on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Digitally as part of the Yakuza Origins bundle on PlayStation
- Digitally with GAMEPASS on Xbox and PC
- Physically as a standalone blue case release on PS4
- Physically as a standalone red case Greatest Hits release on PS4
- Physically as a standalone Steelbook release on PS4
AFTER THAT IS YAKUZA KIWAMI 2 Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2 originally released for the PS2. This is the first CHRONOLOGICAL game to use the Dragon Engine. The combat is most similar to Yakuza 6 and JUDGMENT. It's available the following ways:
- Digitally as a standalone title on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Digitally as part of the Yakuza Origins bundle on PlayStation
- Digitally with GAMEPASS on Xbox and PC
- Physically as a standalone blue case release on PS4
- Physically as a standalone red case Greatest Hits release on PS4
- Physically as a standalone Steelbook release on PS4
NEXT IS YAKUZA 3 Yakuza 3 was first released on the PS3 in NA and Japan and acts as a sort of soft reboot for the series in HD. Until just last year it was only ever available on disc but now you've got the following ways to grab it:
- Digitally as a standalone title on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Digitally as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Physically as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection on PlayStation
- Physically on PS3
LOGICALLY, YAKUZA 4 IS NEXT Yakuza 4 marked the first time RELEASE DATE WISE that you could play as someone other than Kiryu. 4 introduced 3 new protagonists to the mix and can be played the follow ways:
- Digitally as a standalone title on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Digitally as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Physically as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection on PlayStation
- Physically on PS3
YOU GUESSED IT, YAKUZA 5 COMES AFTER THAT Yakuza 5 brings us 5, count em', FIVE protagonists and is arguably the largest game in the series (although 7 comes damn close). Until recently, 5 was a downloadable only title on the PS Store but can now be purchased as such:
- Digitally as a standalone title on the PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Digitally as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
- Physically as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection on PlayStation
FINALLY WE END WITH YAKUZA 6 Yakuza 6 is the final chapter of Kiryu's saga and for now is only available:
- Digitally as a standalone title on PlayStation
- Physically as a standalone blue case PlayStation release
- Physically as a standalone Artbook case PlayStation release
- Physically as a standalone red Greatest Hits PlayStation release
THE SERIES STARTS ANEW WITH YAKUZA: LIKE A DRAGON The newest title in the Yakuza series is Yakuza: Like a Dragon. This game features a totally new protagonist and main area to explore, as well as introduces a brand new, turn based battle system. It's a fantastic game and a welcome change to the formula, despite what Reddit would have you believe. Grab it any of the following ways:
- Digitally as a standalone title on PlayStation, Xbox or PC
- Physically as a Steelbook release on PlayStation and Xbox
- Physically as a standalone blue case release on PS4
And that's it! Feel free to browse but not to carouse!

XYZGiveaways has kindly sent me more money to spend on the community here - €80! That's approximately £70 or $94 USD.
Want a €80 game? There's a
chance, but unless your request is amazing and absolutely blows me away, it's not happening. Want a €30 game? Your request still has to be really good. Want a €5 game? You'll have to convince me, but it shouldn't be
too hard, as long as you've not got a bad record, there are still funds left and I can see enthusiasm.
Of course - there's a limited budget and only so many winners. If you don't win this round, you're welcome to enter any future rounds too. People have not won several times in a row and then eventually got gifted, whether it was due to improving their request or just luck.
What Can I Get?
- Games for any platform that I can either purchase the game for or purchase a gift card for as long as it's from a respectable source. Digital or physical are fine. DLC is fine, but keep in mind my choosing criteria.
- Hardware/Accessories - Keep the budget in mind! Need to replace a broken controller? Ask for a cheaper third-party one for a higher chance.
See the 'Restrictions' section for what you can't get.
How do I enter?
- Convince me that you want the game.
- Include the relevant Steam/other relevant profile link
- Mention which region you live in/your account is for.
- Tell me how much it will cost. Bonus points if you've found it cheap on a legit (non-grey market) site. We do not speak of G2Å , ÇÐKëys én€b@ or similar websites.
Doing all of these in a structured way helps me. People who make my life easier in this way may have an advantage in winning.
How will I choose?
Convince me that you want it. Writing a good request is the most common way. I read all entries and upvotes/downvotes won't help you. Tips on that are linked in the sidebar.
Writing a good request isn't the only way though. Have you shown that you want the game in other ways?
Some things I look at:
- Do I feel that you really want this game? How have you shown that?
- Do I feel you'll play the game a lot? Or will it languish in the backlog. Conversely, can I see that you've played several similar games a lot?
- Are you going to get a lot of enjoyment out of this? Value for money helps here too.
What lowers my chances?
- The winner will not be based on your personal circumstances. I may even deduct points for sob stories.
- If I see you've not played previous games gifted, that's a very bad sign.
- Choosing something expensive won't definitely stop you from winning, but it'll definitely lower your chances. If one person wants a AAA game at $60 while twelve people want Among Us, you'll have some convincing to do.
- I do have a 'negative list'. People not to gift due to being serious rule breakers or just to give extra scrutiny to if I've seen things like dishonesty. Be warned, if I do notice serious rule breaking like winning 10+ games and not playing any of them at all but still entering, it may be reported to mods.
Time Limit
At least 24 hours. It will likely close soon after this, but may remain open longer if there are a lack of entries or if other circumstances require it.
Castle Cash
XYZGiveaways runs a minigame where you can earn money to put towards giveaways here. You can learn more about that on his posts. The latest of which can be found
'here This is all subject to change at no notice. It's new. Unexpected problems may occur. It is optional and not required for entering this giveaway.
Restrictions
- GOG.com doesn't allow gifting unless you meet requirements. I don't because I've never bought anything from there.
- There are several retailers that I wouldn't be able to use too due to regional or other restrictions. For example Amazon US lets me buy physical things, but not some digital.
- If I'm sending you Steam credit to add to your own money/take advantage of cheaper prices, it takes 72 hours. Sales may end before then.
- Gift cards greater than the value of the game may be needed. These may also be more expensive than face value due to charges for buying online. For example that $2 game might cost $12 to get to you. I may not have access to gift cards for your region.
- No unauthorised retailers allowed. No retailers that don't have some method of gifting (Epic Game Store) either.
- You may not request: Money, Accounts, lootboxes or microtransactions. Money includes money to buy games.
- You need to name a specific game. No requests for gift cards to save, only for ones for a specific purpose that you'll be using immediately to buy the game on receiving them. This applies even with money from the Castle game.
- If I cannot gift you a certain game via Steam due to regional restrictions, I will try to look for an alternative at the same price or send Steam Wallet if possible and prices/sale times don't interfere with the game being bought within a few days. I will only know this for certain at the point of attempting gifting as occasionally the issue happens even when they're similar prices in different regions. If I cannot find one, then sadly you will not be able to claim your win. Another winner may be chosen in this instance. Replacements of different games will generally not be offered.
Basically there's a bunch of factors that could be an problem. Most of these won't an issue with standard Steam game gifts. If there is a problem then I might be able to warn you to edit before the offer closes. I might not. If it isn't fixed by the time I've chosen winners, then you can try again next time. This also counts if you're using money from the Castle game.
Final Reminder
Read through the above, but one of the most important things to keep in mind - choose your request wisely. Is something cheap? Is it in a bundle currently? Is it on sale? The more expensive your request is, the higher the bar is.
Is There Any Deal is a useful tool to look at game prices with.
/GameDeals is great too. If it's cheap in your region on Steam and not on a sale that ends soon, we can work with that.
If you've entered one of the previous offers - if you didn't win, there might be a reason. Some people would've been gifted if there was enough budget or the other requests weren't so good that day, but some weren't convincing, some hadn't played previous gifts, some were asking for something expensive, etc. This could be a good time to look at your request and try to improve it.
DO NOT DM TO ENTER
Also - please don't use the EdenSB to mention me on these posts unless you have a time-sensitive question. I turn off alerts for these and check back later, but the username mention has notifications pop up. Sometimes when I'm trying to sleep or otherwise busy. You probably don't want me grouchy from lack of sleep while looking specifically at your request.😂
Bonus Keys
An anonymous donor has donated the following keys. If you would like one of these, feel free to say so and write a short reason why. These are in addition to the normal request for anything within €60. You can enter for either or both. As these keys come from elsewhere, we cannot guarantee them.

PLEASE BE AWARE THERE MAY BE AN IMPERSONATOR OF ME. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ALWAYS MATCH THE REDDIT USERNAME AND STEAM PROFILE WITH MINE AND MAKE SURE IT IS NOT A SLIGHT VARIATION. DO NOT ADD ANYONE ON STEAM OR RESPOND TO ANY PMS IF IT IS UNSOLICITED. IT WILL BE A SCAMMER
SAFE TRADING GUIDELINES: PLEASE READ THIS EVEN IF WE HAVE TRADED BEFORE. STEAM KEYS ARE SAFER TO TRADE.
I am taking extra precautions to ensure nobody's accounts or games are put into jeopardy. I have been doing this for a while now but I want to expand precautionary measures to make sure trading stays safe for everyone. I prefer receiving and providing steam keys. You must let me know what region you are in before we initiate the trade. Game trading is against Humble TOS so always be aware of that and trade with other users who you know are looking out for your interests as well.
DO NOT LINK YOUR STEAM PROFILE TO YOUR HUMBLE ACCOUNT
Also, as always, be wary of anyone impersonating me in pms or on Steam. I will generally not add you on Steam unless we come to agreement, so make sure you are only taking to my reddit username or my steam profile, which can be found here. Anyone else is a scammer
Also if i change my offer on a bundle, and we traded in the past day or two at a lower price, remind me and i can send the difference in a future trade.
- I have a ton of games to trade, mostly from past bundles, but also many from retail purchases I made from the humble store, fanatical and other retailers. I also offer PayPal (US region but I can usually cover fees) , giftcards or I can purchase games on Steam or any other storefront, to gift directly to you on demand. Please note, I do not sell my games for paypal, unless specifically noted. You can find the list of games I have available here
- I have alot of trading rep you can find here as well on my steam profile here. Feel free to pm or add me to discuss anything, just comment first.
- I guarantee everything I trade. Everything has either been purchased directly by me, or sent to me as a gift link. If there is ever any issue, I will work with you to resolve it or get you a new game.
- I am mostly looking for steam keys from humble bundles and steam gifts, but I usually accept game keys from other places too, depending on where they are from and your reputation.
What are you looking to do?
Trade your games for my games.
I will always be up for trading games. You can find the list of games I have available here. Games listed here are separated by tiers. Please note that tiers do not always denote value, so I may not simply swap games just because they are in the same tier. Many top tier games, ones that cost $30-60, will require many humble games in return most likely, it all depends on the offer. I have most of the games i am buying below available to trade as well.
Please go to my link above for a complete list of games I have on hand. Unofficial Tuesday Stadia News Recap
submitted by Chupacabreddit to Stadia [link] [comments]
[Steam Winter Sale] is on till 5 January, most JRPGs are on sale to even over -80%. Here is the link and a list of recommendations.
The Steam Winter Sale has started and a good number of JRPGs are sale now:
Here is a list of recommendations if you can't decide which ones to get:
- Disgaea 5: To be honest any game in this series or even it's spin-offs, like Phantom Brave, is worth getting. Great voice acting, always funny characters and funnier events, and you'll always get more than you're money's worth of content and gameplay time even if you are paying full price for it. But if you don't have the time to go through the series one by one, then going for this one is more than worth it. You'll miss out on a lot of inside jokes and great cameos if you start with this one, but story wise you don't have to worry about anything since they aren't really connected. They happen in the same world, but even if you don't know the story of other games it still won't hinder your enjoyment of the story here.
- .hack//G.U. Last Recode: You're itching for the next great action JRPGs that plays like the Tales series, but with an even more edgy and revenge hungry main character than Velvet from Berseria ? Then look no more. With 3 games 1 and with an extra new episode to wrap the story up, then you'll be getting more than you money's worth for sure. With an MMO setting and a fresh approach to side-quests and world exploration, it's a classic that is more than worth giving a try.
- TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children: What if you want something serious ? then this is your go to game. I always liked X-com but I couldn't get into the RNG gameplay and losing characters forever because of one mistake. So here is TroubleShooter, an X-com JRPG, with an actual full story told through multiple chapters. A really fun world to get into, with great characters and fantastic music. The detective Noir atmosphere combined with really deep and complex customization system just provides endless content to go through. They also just recently released a whole DLC for free that expands the story and adds more content...yes for FREE!
- SaGa SCARLET GRACE: AMBITIONS: You heard a lot about the series, but you never knew where to start ? well wonder no more. Scarlet Grace is one of the best entry games to the the SaGa series. Everything is tutorialized, and the game even has it's long list of tips and strategies that will be given to you from the start to even the very late parts of the game, to make sure you are prepared for everything the game throws on you. Then you add that it has one of the best and most challenging turn-based combat systems out there, if you ever thought turn-based combat in JRPGs is too easy, this will change your mind as it what can be done with it. And a fantastic soundtrack, and this is an easy pick up.
- SD GUNDAM G GENERATION CROSS RAYS: You want a Tactical Mecha game focused on the Gundam universe with great graphics and crazy amount of customization and days worth of play time ? that's a weird request but I got you, here you go fam, Cross Rays brings you amazing Metal on Metal clash! with a huge (and I mean huge) list of Mechs to develop, evolve, capture, exchange, and unlock throughout a long and satisfying story campaign, and a customization system deep and varied enough to lose days of your life on.
- Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA: Again this is a case of a whole series is filled with great games, but if you're going to choose one, then this one is an easy pick. Fantastic soundtrack ? check! Great Smooth Action gameplay ? check! Dogi the wall breaker ? check! Base building and crafting ? check! and check!
- Tale of Wuxia: Are you into great world building ? choices that matter ? open-world gameplay and life-sims ? Tactical turn-based combat Chinese Martial Arts novels/comics ? well here is one of the best games you can find. A remake of an older game, they did a fantastic job with it. There are issue with the translation, but for something so unique and one of a kind you'd have to work through minor issues. The game is about building your own Martial Art master, by managing their daily life-style, chores, adventures, jobs, training, and even social relations. With multiple endings, and so many different routes and events, you can easily gets sucked into it's world. If you like it then you can also check Tale of Wuxia:The Pre-Sequel, that does away with the life-sim, and focuses completely on the open-world adventure and tactical gameplay aspect.
- Battle Chasers: Nightwar: An actual kickstarter JRPG that more than delivered what it set it out for and more. It went under the radar since release, but it's a great turn-based JRPG with great characters and challenging combat and a satisfying crafting system, arena fights, fishing, skill trees, and a fantastic in-game encyclopedia with an actual incentive to complete. With a great tiered loot system, dungeons with random events and side-quests every time you enter. And really great monsters to hunt. It's more than worth full price, but right it's dirt cheap.
- Tales of Symphonia: To be fair, any of the Tales games on Steam right now are good to get since they are all dirt cheap in this sale. But if you had to choose only one, then this is the classic Tales game experience, and it might as well be free at the price they are selling it now at. Whatever Tales game you get, make sure to check out the mods on steam, there are some really good ones to make sure you get the best experience possible, graphics and FPS wise.
- Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale: One of the best (if not thee best) Item shop simulator JRPGs. If you're in the mood for something relaxing and fun without much tension, then this is a no-brainer.
- Lost Dimension: This one probably went under the radar when it was ported to PC. But it's a solid Tactical JRPG, with a really fun setting. To save you the time on the story, Imagine Danganronpa as a tactical JRPG and there you go. A really dark Mystery story, filled with plot twists, and some really great customization done in a way that makes sure no 2 playthroughs are the same.
- GRANDIA HD Remaster and GRANDIA 2 HD Remaster : If you are in the mood for one of those old turn-based epic fantasy adventures, then look no more. The first Grandia in particular is one of the classics great fantasy adventure games. Grandia 2 is more "Edgy", but still has the great gameplay that Grandia 1 had.
JRPGs that are on the Best JRPGs of 2020 that the community voted for here on JRPG:
- Persona 4 Golden: Came in number 1 in every category it was nominated for. One of the best school life-sims, with a great and lovable cast of characters that you'll surely be devastated to leave come the end of the game.
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon: Another game that is always in the top 3 in multiple categories, with it's Main Character (Ichiban Kasuga) winning the number 1 spot for the best character for 2020. The Yakuza series was already crazy fun, and now it's Turn-based ? enough said.
- Trials of Mana (remake): Ranking 4th in both top JRPGs for PC and Switch, a Remake of an old SNES classic did more than anyone could have expected from a SE remake.
- Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin: Making it into the 5th spot on the PC rankings, an intense action game combined with rice farming. Are you ready to be surprised ?
- CrossCode: Look.....I have yet to play this myself, but I got so many people and telling to play it, and friends begging me to, that it has to be good. But just to be on the safe side, you can check the free demo before you take the jump. And am sure someone in the comments can vouch for the game. Oh and it's Number 1 in the rankings of this year's Indie JRPGs.
- Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling: 2nd rank on the best Indie JRPG of 2020 and only because CrossCode took number 1, this Paper Mario style JRPG saw that Nintendo isn't making what JRPG fans are waiting for, so they scrapped themselves in to patch in that gap in JRPG history. With praise from every where and Overwhelmingly Positive score on steam. why not give it a try ?
Here is the "Bonus Round" version:
- AKIBA'S TRIP: Undead & Undressed: A Beat'em up JRPG, where you kill Vampires in modern Japan, by using a combination of elaborate wrestling moves and every weapon you can get your hands on, and finally finishing them by stripping them till they disintegrate. A funny and silly game that has a weird amount of detail.
- One Piece Pirate Warriors 3: Yes I am aware that Pirate Warriors 4 is out and on sale, but I like this one more, and it's cheap as hell. If you're looking for something mindless but very satisfying to waste hours on, then this is really good. Even as someone who isn't a fan of the Warriors series, I really couldn't stop playing this one when I first got it, and if you're a fan of the show then this is a must.
- Okami HD: I mean, what is there to say ? a true PS2 classic...on the PC, in HD, for dirt cheap. It's Okami people come on.
Please go ahead and post any great deals that I missed, or ask about any you are unsure of.
